Proctor, Carol L. - Age 69, of West Brook went into the arms of the angels to
be with her family on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of
the late Lawrence and Doris (Pettigrew) Pettigrew. Carol is survived by her
loving husband of 52 years, Ernest; daughters, Trudy Anderson (David),
Parrsboro; Dana Gould (Lloyd), Amherst; chosen daughter, Connie Rector (Doug),
Halfway River; step-son, Ernest Proctor (Bonnie), Fredericton; a foster son,
Jerry Manship (Sandra), London, Ont.; sisters, Melissa Davies (Mike); Madeline
Pettigrew (Terry), Valerie Bates (Dave), all of London, Ont.; Kathy Rector
(Charles), Amherst; Shelly Rogers (Jimmy), Southampton; a brother, Larry
(Sylvia), Parrsboro; four grandsons who were the joys of her life, Colton
(Katie), Declan, Daniel, Marty; four great-grandchildren, Elliott, Jacob,
Bryce, Brinlee; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters,
Diana, Peggy, Gloria; a brother, Bobby. Visitation 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday,
January 29, 2020 at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service
will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020, Rev. Clarence Clarke
officiating. Burial in the West Brook Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made
to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova
Scotia.
