OBITUARY: Mrs. H. Akerley

Amherst - Mrs. Havelock Akerley, 78, 15 Tantamar Place, Amherst, died in
McAloney's Nursing Home, Springhill, Tuesday. Born in Amherst, she was the
former Mable Ripley, a daughter of the late Herbert and Tresa (Read) Ripley.

Twice married, her first husband, Roy Quigley predeceased her.

Surviving are a son, Ross Quigley, Hemmingsford, Que.; a daughter, Ferne (Mrs.
Delbert Reade), Brentwood; a step-son, Bertram Akerley, Saginaw, Mich.; two
step-daughters, Mrs. Lena Tuttle, Wentworth; Mrs. Anna Bailey, Bridgetown; a
brother, Edward, Amherst; a sister, Minnie Hayward, Melbourne, Que.

The body is in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst, where funeral service will be
held Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. I.G. MacKenzie officiating. Committal service will
be in Highland Cemetery Chapel with burial in the Highland cemetery in the
spring.
