**SPRINGHILL -** Funeral service for John W. Smith, 65, of Springhill will be
held today at 2 p.m. from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lees, Herript Road,
Springhill, Rev. Stanley Harrison officiating.

Mr. Smith died Sunday.

Born in Rodney, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tillet Smith, he had resided here
all his life and operated a trucking business.

He was a member of the St. Andrews-Welsley United Church, and is survived by
his wife, the former Lillian Harrison, of Springhill; two daughters, Helen
(Mrs. Harold Boss), Springhill; Virginia (Mrs. Eric Doncaster), Brantford,
Ontario and three sons, Darrell, Roger and Wayne of Springhill
