Re: [nscumber] Obit: MUISE, James "Don"

I have a Christopher Anthony Philip O'Laney in my file with Parrsboro
connections.

His parents were George Edward Kay (previously m/1 Madeline "Maude" Harrigan)
and Myrtle Agnes Gomm (previously m/1 Alexander Joseph O'Laney Sr., born
Parrsboro) George and Myrtle lived in a common law relationship in the New
Glasgow area after their divorces, having issue of five "O'Laney" children
between 1957 and 1964 including Christopher, born 1961.

Myrtle and Alexander had 8 "O'Laney" children together; George and Madeline
had 6 "Kay" children together.

>From his parent's obits, this Christopher was living in River John, Pictou
County in 1981 and 1983.

There's a possible chance this Mr. Muise is his father-in-law.

In Loving Memory

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of James "Don" Muise aged 82
at Cumberland Regional Health care Centre on March, 3, 2020.

Born in Hebron in 1937, he was the son of the late Edmund and Marjorie

He is survived by Debbie, his beloved companion of 23 years, his son Donnie

Darrell (Candy) Muise, Toronto, and daughter, Angela (Bobby) Muise, Amherst,
Grandchildren, Kerri (Chris) MacAulay, Jason (Patricia) O'Laney, Tyler

and Josie MacAulay, Lincoln and Findlay O'Laney, Sa-n Francis Muise, Brothers,
Roy Ernie and his special and much loved brother Paul (Wayne) Muise, sister
Betty and his beloved sister Ann, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Don lived a long and full life with a wonderful sense of humour, which
remained with him right up until the end. He always had a joke or a long
winded story to tell.

People who met him always remembered him-with his personality he was hard to
forget.

He enjoyed camping, dancing, wood-working and teasing Debbie and being a long-
haul driver, where he made many friends along the way.

Even these last few weeks he gave a laugh to his caregivers and showed what a
special person he was.

We give thanks to Dr. Dean Harrison, Dr. Gradstein, Dr. Bobadilla, Dr. Rubio-
Reyes Dr. Short and the wonderful nurses, and CAAs and ACAs on the surgical
and medical units and also in Palliative Care who made his last weeks
peaceful.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. He
will be buried in Meteghan NS with his father at a later date.

We give special thanks to Nancy Gilbert, Bonnie and David Rector for their
love and support through this journey with us. He was aware of their presence,
not by words but by his facial expressions and gestures. Nancy has been a
constant in our lives these past years and he was extremely grateful for all
her support, love and friendship.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to CRHCC Palliative
care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St.
