PORTER, Lillian A. "Buddy" - 82, Smith Avenue, Parrsboro, passed away Tuesday,
November 14, 2006, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan.
Born in Chignecto, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Elsie (Bowlsby)
Wood. She is survived by her special friend, Hugh McIsaac, Parrsboro; sons,
William (Helene), Moncton; Kenneth, Parrsboro; Garnet White (Helen), Shulie;
sister, Helen Droesbeck, River Hebert; several grandchildren. She was
predeceased by her former husband, Raymond. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in
Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m.
Thursday, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Burial in Maccan Cemetery. Memorial

Hugh W. McIsaac 'Duck'

  

McIsaac, Hugh W. 'Duck' - Age 90, of Parrsboro passed away on Friday, January
3, 2020 at home. Born in River Hebert, he was a son of the late William and
Flora (Nicholson) McIsaac. He was employed with CN Rail for 40 years, retiring
in 1990. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was
predeceased by his special friend, Lillian "Buddy" Porter; sisters, Margaret
Symes and Effie Sim; brothers, Daniel, James "Nick", John, Ron, Art. He is
survived by his extended family, Kenneth Porter, Parrsboro; Bill Porter
(Helene), Moncton; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and
nephews. In keeping with Hugh's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova
Scotia.
