Bill Hill sent this to me so I am posting it for others who may follow this
lineage.

  

With a little digging, I think the parents are William R. Scott and Ruth R.
Ripley who lived in the Southampton area.

  

The unfortunate boy may have a sister, Edna Amelia Scott, born Southampton who
m/1 a John J. Blanch in 1903, and a brother, Rufus Howard Scott, born River
Philip who m/1 a Florence Skidmore in 1902.

One day last week, says the Parrsboro News, a ten year old son of William
SCOTT of West Brook,

started for the steam mill where his father was working. Just as he reached
the mill a spark from the

smoke stack set fire to his cotton blouse. Instead of going into the mill, the
boy ran for home, and

was so badly burned that he died on Sunday, after great suffering.
