William "Bill" Atkinson

  

ATKINSON, William "Bill" - 58, Porters Lake, passed away July 25, 2002, at
home. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Jeanette (Atkinson) Rhyno.

  

Prior to owning and operating Atkinson's Demolition and Recycling in Porters
Lake, his lifelong passion was tractor trailer hauling. He enjoyed spending
time near the ocean with his grandson, Jestin and had hoped one day to own a
boat.

  

He is survived by his wife, Linda Jane Way; Linda's children, Samantha Way,
Lower Sackville; Shawn (Beth) Way, Dartmouth; son, William "Billy" Atkinson,
Halifax, and grandchildren.

  

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27,
both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, Rev. James Haughn
officiating. Interment will follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of
flowers, donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of
Nova Scotia, 5523 Spring Garden Rd., suite 204, Halifax, NS B3J 9Z9.

RHYNO, (ATKINSON) (WOOD) JEANETTE BELLE

RHYNO, (Atkinson) (Wood) Jeanette Belle - 68, Head of St. Margaret's Bay, died
November 5, 1992, in Camp Hill Medical Centre, Halifax. Born in Apple River,
she was a daughter of the late Annie Emma Slack. Her earlier life was spent in
the Advocate and Amherst area where she worked in the forestry industry as a
cook. She was also a cook with the Bill Lynch Show for many years and was well
known as a home care nurse. She worked in the taxi business and was a member
of the United Baptist Church, Head of St. Margaret's Bay. She is survived by a
son, **Bill Atkinson, Porter's Lake** ; sister, Margaret Barns, Londonerry
Station; **a grandson**. She was predeceased by her first husband, Fred Wood;
second husband, Frank Rhyno. The body is in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home,
Hubbards, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in
St. Margaret's Bay United Baptist Church, Rev. Barry Dixon officiating. Burial
will be 3 p.m. Saturday in West Brook Cemetery, West Brook. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to St. Margaret's Bay United Baptist Church.
