Husband of the late Signa. Son of the late John Henry and Grace E. (Livingston) Thorpe. James was educated in Malden, graduating form Malden High School. He was a Mason, member of the Mt Vernon Lodge, as well as the ScottishRite, and the Masonic Shrine. He was a member of the St. Pauls Episcopal Retired Mens Club. James was also a stained glass Artist. Mr. Thorpe was a lifelong resident of Malden.
