I have access to Ancestry Library Edition at home during COVID and I did find
Alice's birth record in Salem, Mass.  However the reco rd does not even
give her a first name it simply says ……��. Bullerwell
and lists April 21, F (female) place of birth Salem. The spot for First Name
of Father is blank. Maiden name of mother lists Vera B ullerwell. Residence
of Parents lists Nova Scotia.  Occupation of Fath er and Birth Place of
Father are both blank. Place of Birth for Mother list s Nova Scotia 
Page number is 736. Record Number is 334. Births Registered in the City of Salem 1911There are two other records on the same page that are blank in al l
areas where there would normally be information on the Father.
I have inserted the record below but not sure if it will go to the list or not.  I remember a time when attachments were not allowed on this list..

Vera Emily Bullerwell had an illegitimate daughter, Alice Bullerwell, born 21 Apr 1911. Alice’s obit says she was born in Parrsboro but I feelshe was born in Salem, Mass., as per her marriage record.

until the baby was born.
Alice was baptized Anglican on 21 Aug 1911, d/o Vera and father unknown. I haven’t located a 1911 N.S. Registered Birth for Alice.
Vera m/1 Capt. Claude Hilton Winters on 23 Nov 1912, Baptist, Parrsboro andbrought Alice into their marriage. There’s a possibility Claude isn’t  Alice’s birth father.
If Alice Bullerwell was listed in the 1921 Census as a daughter of Claude and Vera, why list Albert and Alice (your grandparents) as parents on your marriage record when Claude Winters is one of the two witnesses of the Marriage?
