[nscumber] Obituary -2020- Catherine Valerie Campbell (Hannah)
### Obituary for Catherine Valerie Hannah Campbell
Hannah Campbell, Catherine Valerie
Auburn, Nova Scotia
It hurts me to admit it, but I have passed away.
My journey on this earth ended March 17, 2020.
I was born in a snowstorm in Springhill, NS to Mercelle Raper and Glen Hannah.
Maybe that is why winter is my favourite time of year and I love snowshoeing.
I leave behind the love of my life, best friend and soulmate of 46 years Rocky
Campbell, my pride and joy and biggest accomplishments Brian (Tania White), my
pop culture and comic expert and Robin (Jacob Bromhead) my firefighter and
mental health researcher. Also, Kathryn Holt (Craig) who is just like a
daughter to me, their children Hendrick and Scarlett who are as near to
grandchildren that I have at this time. I am so proud of all of you. I also
leave behind my brother Greg (Ann), Orleans, ON, uncles Harold Raper (Ann),
Fredericton, NB, Kenneth Raper (Cay), Springhill, NS, my stepmother Edna
Hannah, Victoria BC, several cousins. My best friends Joyce Christensen, Glenn
Joudrey, Anne and Ed Binet, Ralph and Barb McIsaac, Paul Kavanagh and Patricia
Harnish (my newest friend) have been with me every step of the way offering
encouragement, laughter, fun times and lunch dates. I will really miss the
lunch dates.
I often wonder what will happen to my flower beds, raspberries and
strawberries. Friends you may need to step up and help turn the beds back into
lawn, no green thumbs in this family. What will I miss most, other than my
family and friends, perhaps cheesecake? I have had a great team of
oncologists, cardiologists and thoracic specialists. To all the technicians,
nurses, and doctors, you have made this journey bearable and at times fun with
your individual personalities and sense of humour when I needed it most. There
will not be a funeral or visitation at my request. A private family ceremony
will be held in the summer at my favorite place, Heather Beach. Of course, a
party with food is always acceptable.
If you wish, make a donation to a local volunteer group or to a local animal
shelter. I have had a great life. Live each day as if it is your last and
enjoy it. I am not gone, I am just away on my new adventure, love you all,
Val.
