Paul Edson Black, 88, of Mundleville, pas sed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 in
the Serenacare Long Term Care Facility, Moncton, NB. Born in Nappan, NS, he
was the youngest son of the ten childr en of the late Douglas and Josephine
(Purdy) Black. Paul retired from the GSW Water Products Division after
38 years of Sales and Management in t he Moncton Branch. He was a Charter
member and Past President of the Magnet ic Hill Lions Club, involved with
managing the Mountain Ridge Minor Sports Assoc. hockey program, a member of
the United Commercial Travelers (UCT), t he Beaver Curling Club, the Gorge
Loyal Orange Lodge, and was a member of M ountain View United Church where he
was a Wolf Cub leader and served in var ious other church capacities. He
loved watching hockey, the Toronto Maple L eafs, gardening, going fishing and
playing cards, especially 200. Paul will be extremely missed by his wife
of 67 years, Audrey (Renton) Black; c hildren, Will (Kath Griffin) of Quadra
Island, BC, Greg (Sheila) of Frederi cton, NB Larry (Cathy) of Digby, NS,
Kevin (Jennifer Duskocy) of Sackville, NB, and Paula (Dave Griffin) of
Moncton, NB. He was “Pop” to his 14 grandchildren Marla,
Ebony, Bruen, Jamie, Amie, Angela, Jennifer, Ryan, Laura, Adam, Sabrina,
Steven, Zach and Ty; and 12 great grandchildre n Thomas, Alex, Seamus, Ronan,
Georgia, Benson, Owen, Wyatt, Brendan, Rache l, Leo and Amara. He is survived
by sisters Margaret Higgs (Amherst), Betty Stewart (Oxford) and Esther
(Keith) Jones (Fredericton) and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sibl ings Charles,
Robert, Inez Chapman, Elsie Forshner, Ida Ward and Donald.��Arrangements
are under the direction of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mou ntain Road,
Moncton, NB (858–1995). Due to the Covid–19 res trictions,
arrangements will be announced at a later date. Donations i n
