Re: [nscumber] Obit: WINTERS, Nancy A. [nee SMITH]

Hi Steve:

Charles Foster Winters is a distant relative although I've never met him.
Charlie has 4 siblings living and 2 siblings predeceased plus 2 who died in
infancy. Adult siblings are/were: June Nedra (Winters) Clarke-Taylor Tyler
Campbell Clarke, Collene Marie (Winters) Venus Ramsperger, Bedford Gordon,
Mildred Georgina (Winters) Venus, Clyde Weldon and Stanley Brian.

Charlie descends from William Winters and Ruth Lovely; I descend from
William's older brother, John W. Winter and Phoebe Morris.

Charles Foster Winters > Claude Foster Winters > Capt. Claude Hilton Winters >
Capt. Daniel Perry Winters > William Winters.

David Allan Winter > Royal David Winter > Charles Ryerson Winter > Benjamin
Winter > John W. Winter.

Hope this helps making a connection.

Dave

Note: I'm of the belief Josephine was never married to the (?) father/s of her
6 children. I have them as "unknown #1, #2, #3" etc for each of the 6 children
until I know more. I believe there was a 7th daughter, Linda Ann (Smith-
McWhirter) Lunn, who was adopted by Roy Hansford McWhirter and Joan Elizabeth
Pillinger. Linda m/1 Ivan Willis Lunn from Advocate Harbour.

Josephine's mother was Sarah Ann "Annie" (Cole) Smith Harrington, born Ward's
Brook who has Hatfield, Pettis, Merriam and Morris roots.

Hi Dave

I assume Charlie Winters was a relative of yours. I don't have a connection. I
met him many years ago while working in Parrsboro, if it was the same one that
lives on Whitehall Rd.
