Lavenia Maria "Vinney" (Hoeg) Rector, born 1892 A bit old to have
a son at age 55.

  

I show Inez Joyce (Rector) McLellan as his birth mother. She just passed on 19
Jan 2020 and doesn't reference Gerald in her obit.

  

Sisters, Mildred Gwendolyn and Flores Evelyn were already married by 1940,
leaving Inez Joyce.

  

Gerald was possibly raised by his maternal grandparents as a son, not a
grandson, as Gerald's referenced in both their obits.

Gerald (Jerry/Gumbootie) Dale Rector of the Interlakes Area passed away
suddenly on January 25, 2007. He was born in Truro, Nova Scotia on March 18,
1947. Jerry was a well known and widely respected lineman and avid snowmobiler
who loved the Cariboo where he had lived for last 17 years. Jerry is survived
by loved ones: Brenda, son Greg Rector of Maple Ridge, daughter Carole Aubin
of Agassiz, and 3 grandsons, Nathan, Benjamin and Marcus. A Celebration of
Life Service will be held on Saturday February 10, 2007 at 2:00pm at the 100
Mile Bethel Pentecostal Community Church. Pastor Neil Mansell officiating.
Reception to follow. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of
flowers would be appreciated.
