After your posts, I now feel Gwen/Gwenn was a d/o Zelma Elizabeth Parsons
before she m/1 Burpee Colpitts Joyce per the following obit for her
brother/half-brother:

OBITUARY:

Joyce, (William) James Byron - 64, three Fathom Harbour, died Wednesday in the
Halifax Infirmary. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Burpee and
Zelma (Parsons) Joyce. He was a member of Tobique Chapter of the Masonic
Lodge, Plaster Rock, N.B. He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah (Sally)
Ross; three sons, William G., Bedford; Ronald, Dartmouth; Keith, Montreal; a
daughter, Linda (Mrs. Dick Kuhn), Penticton, B.C.; a step-son, Ray Jewers,
London, England; a brother, Wyman, Cow Bay; three sisters, Hilda (Mrs. John
Rasmussen), Penticton; Dody Carroll, Lantz; Gwenn (Mrs. Newt Langille), Alton;
nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and two step-grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his first wife, Rose. The body has been cremated. Family will
receive friends 7-9 p.m., today in Mattatall's Funeral Home Chapel, Dartmouth,
where memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Michael Kay
officiating. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
the Palliative Care Service, Halifax Infirmary.

Gwen was raised by her grandparents…the natural child of one of their
daughters, I think.

LANGILLE, Gwen - Truro, passed away January 25, 2003, in Colchester Regional
Hospital, Truro. She is survived by her husband, Newton. She was predeceased
by her first husband, Austin Yorke; her grandparents, Wilbert and Helen
Parsons. Cremation has taken place. By request, no visitation or service at
this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova
Scotia or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements entrusted
