Obit: WOOD, Leo Irvin

WOOD, Leo Irvin - 75, Lake Killarney, Cumberland Co., passed away peacefully Wednesday August 14, 2002, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Oxford, he was the son of the late Peter I. and Ella M. (Miller) Wood. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge 26, Oxford. Prior to his retirement, he spent his lifetime employed in the lumbering industry and as a sawyer in a number of lumber mills. Surviving are his wife, the former Doris M. Barrett; son, Paul Wood, Alburquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Christopher Wood and Stephanie Wood, both of Alberta; Steven Wood, Alburquerque, New Mexico; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be this evening
and Friday afternoon and evening, funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, both in Allen's Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, Rev. Edgar Patriquin officiating. Burial to take place in Oxford Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lung Assocation of Nova Scotia. The Knights of Pythias Lodge 26, Oxford will hold a tribute serv ice in the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m.
