Obit: ALLEN, Chandler Ralph
ALLEN, Chandler Ralph - 64, Pugwash, formerly of Saint John, N.B., passed away August 1, 2002, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Shinimicas, he was a son of the late Ralph and Alice (Pipes) Allen. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for a total of 21 years, working as an instrument electrical air technician. He worked with Michelin for 18 years in Bridgewater, as a troubleshooter and Ipex Inc. for six years in Saint John, N.B., as an electrical plant manager. He was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Surviving are his wife, the former Lola Despres; daughter, Leslie (Jason) Nauss, Bridgewater; sons, Bradley (Melissa), Toronto; Steven (Lisa), Dartmouth; Ashley (Cindy), Western Shore; grandchildren, Zachery, Emma and Cody; sisters, Ruth (Willis) McGrath, Pugwash; Arlene (Cyril) Angevine, Oxford; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight and funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, both in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash, Rev. Janet Travers officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
