BROWNELL, Elsie Geraldine - 73, Northport, passed away August 2, 2002, in North Cumberland
Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Truemanville, she was a daughter of the late Jessie and Jamie (Ripley) Smith. She was an adherent of Sunrise Trinity United Church, Amherst Head and a member of Lorneville United Church. She was a member of the Sunrise Senior Citizens and was a former member of the Northport United Church and UCW. Surviving are daughter, Beverley (Bev), Amherst Head; son, Colin (Ruth), Northport; grandchildren, Laura-Lee and Justin; sister, Mildred Bush, Nampa, Alta.; brothers, Garnet (Lorraine) Smith, Moncton; Carmen Smith, Saint John; sister-in-law, Helen Thomas, Oxford; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hobart; brothers, Lee and James; one niece and one nephew. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, funeral service 2 p.m. Monday, both in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash, Rev. Janet Travers officiating. Burial will be in Northport Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
