VANCE, Emily May "Violet" - 91, 199 McGee St., Springhill, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2002, in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late John Angus and Vida May
(Trowsdale) McLeod. She was a member of St. Andrew's Wesley United Church, Springhill; a member
of the Loyal True Blue Association 178 and the Springhill Senior Citizen Association; she enjoyed homemaking and her family. She is survived by son, William "Bill" (Elaine) Vance, Mapleton, Cumberland Co.; sister, Mrs. Mabel McLeod, Amherst; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Burton" Vance; son, Douglas Burton Vance; two infant daughters; an infant sister; brothers, Harold, Douglas, Vincent, and John; one grandson. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. today in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, where the funeral service will be held 7:30 p.m. this evening, Rev. Elizabeth Davies officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or any charity would be appreciated.
