BABCOCK, Lena May - 92, Centennial Villa, Amherst, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2002, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Estabrooks) Babcock. She was a bookkeeper for A.E. Wry Boot and Shoe, A.D. Smith Lumber, Amherst. Surviving are sister, Beatrice Mattinson, Amherst; brother, Trueman Babcock, Moncton, N.B.; nephews, James and Stephen Canton. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Greta. Her remains are resting in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst, with visiting hours 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday in Cumberland Memorial Chapel, Amherst, Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Burial will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
