Obit: DWYER, John Albert "Jack"

DWYER, John Albert "Jack" - 60, 117 Athol Station Rd., Athol, passed away June 15, 2002, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Maccan, he was a son of the late Inez (Dwyer) Doucette. He was a long-time employee of Elliott's Amusements and later worked with the Department of Highways. He was a member of the Maccan Legion, Branch 134. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, his work and especially his friends and family. He is survived by his companion, Margaret Dow; children, Jimmy (Sarah), Hampton, N.B.; Robbie, Maple Ridge, B.C.; Donna, Saint John, N.B.; brothers, Billy (Louise) Lorette, Amherst; Edward (Debbie) Doucette, Chignecto. He was predeceased by former wives, Loraine Brown and Sandra Card; brother, Richard; sisters, Lillian, Cheryl and Ruth Ann. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the funeral home, Rev. Marion Lloy officiating. Burial in Maccan Cemetery. There will be a reception to follow in Maccan Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit, Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst, or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
