I do not know if this is the right Clarence Gilbert, but the information
fits.

Clarence B. Gilbert, Hotel Proprietor, died on or before 10 August 1935
in Maccan. Executor of his will and heir was his sister, Hattie E.
Canning, formerly of East Braintree in the State of Massachussetts, now
of Maccan. Hattie filed probate on 3rd September 1935. His will was
written on 3 August 1935 leaving everything to his sister. Witness to
the will, was Caroline Canning, and S.L. Blenkhorn. (Probate #3329 at
the Registry of Deeds, Amherst.)
