OGDEN, Charles Arthur - 73, 9 Lusby St., Amherst, died October 22, 1993, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late William and Delena (Barnes) Ogden. He worked at Enheat until 1965 and from then until his retirement he was employed with the provincial and federal governments, where he was chief mediation and concilliation officer for the Atlantic region. He had served as president of the Kinsmen Club, the K-40, the Amherst Curling Club and the Minor Hockey and Baseball associations. He was a director of the Y.M.C.A., had been on the board that managed Dickey Park and was very involved with the young people at First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the board of management. He is survived by his wife, the former Lorraine Perry; two daughters, Carol Ann Locke, Amherst; Sheila (Mrs. Denis Douville), Ottawa; brother, Gerald, Lower Sackville; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, George, Albert in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church, Rev. Byron Corkum officiating. Burial will follow in Amherst Cemetery. Donations may be made to First Baptist Church.
