Obit: STEVENS, Clarence Edward Vane
STEVENS, Clarence Edward Vane - 76, South Farmington, died May 30, 2002, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in River Hebert, he was a son of the late Bertrum and Lottie (Snowdon) Stevens. He joined the R.C.A.F. in 1943 and was a veteran of the Second World War, having served for 25 years. He was a former employee of Canadian Tire. He was a member of Valley Wing 107 RCAFA. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Beek; daughter, Patricia (Keith) Harder, Saskatchewan; son, Paul, South Ohio, Yarmouth Co.; sisters, Peggy Ricker, Sackville, N.B.; Leona Bugley, British Columbia; Charlotte Purdy, Toronto; brother, Harvey, River Hebert; grandchildren, Tracy, Todd, Timothy, Edward, Stephen; great-grandchildren, Robert and Donovan. He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. Visitation 7-9 p.m. with Wing service at 7:30 p.m. today, a memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, all in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Father Gerald Saulnier officiating. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IWK Health Centre Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
