Obit: GOULD, Arthur Joseph

GOULD, Arthur Joseph - 88, Amherst, passed away May 29, 2002. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Desprey) Gould. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He is survived by sisters, Katherine Belliveau, Amherst; Lillian Lever, Toronto; Julia Henman, Halifax; good friends; several nieces, nephews. Visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst, where the Legion will hold a service at 7 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Burial in St. Charles Nativity Cemetery. Donations to Highland View Regional Hospital, Palliative Care or any charity.
