GRAHAM, GROGGETT, MCGINNIS, MCPHERSON, NOLAN, RYAN
I have just registered to the list. I must extend deepest thanks to
all the members who are doing such great work. Thank you.
I started researching my MCPHERSON branch a year ago and have now
been able to add a few names. I am hoping to maybe find some long
lost cousins out there, or someone who may know some living members.
Here's my MCPHERSON family:
John b. 1 APR 1852 d. 4 MAR 1939 Hillside Cemetary (parents were
James and Agnes nee MUIR. both born in Scotland in early 1820's)
Ellen b. 4 FEB 1857 (nee NOLAN)d. 14 FEB 1934 Hillside Cemetary
Jennie b. 1877
James b. 20 DEC 1879
John Robert b. 20 AUG 1887 ***my great-grandfather
Annie b. 9 MAY 1882
Leona b. 22 NOV 1891
Alex b. 5 DEC 1894
Agnes b. 18 SEPT 1885
Jennie married married 28 AUG 1899 to Winfield MCGINNIS (Parents were
Alexander and Isabella) who was 24 and from Cow Bay, Cape Breton (now
called Port Morien). They had a son Alexander born 26 Jan 1900.
Winfield worked in the mines and was a member of the Springhill band.
Annie married 20 FEB 1907 to Garnet Russell GROGGETT (Parents were
Richard R. and Sarah)who was 21 and from Leamington (haven't looked
to see where that is yet). Garnet was a hoistman in the mines and
was a member of the Springhill band. They had a daughter Jean who
married Donald RYAN. He was a lumber dealer in Springhill.
Agnes born in Springhill married 25 JULY 1906 to Jabez W. GRAHAM
(Parents were Daniel and Bathsheba)who was 22 years old and from
PEI.
Hopefully there are some distant cousins out there.
