WASSON, Earl Frederick - 86, Lockhartville, Kings Co., passed away peacefully Friday, April 26, 2002, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was the son of the late Ross and Elsie (Brushett) Wasson. Earl served in the West Nova Scotia Regiment from 1940 to 1944 and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion since 1945. He was employed with the town of Windsor for
many years. Earl is survived by his daughters, Mary Pitts (Richard), Madonna, both of Lockhartville; sons, Earl (Doreen), Lockhartville; Gilbert (Louise), Yellowknife, N.W.T.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Boyd); sister, Laura; great-grandson, Christopher. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday, April 28, with Hants County Branch 9, Royal Canadian Legion holding their service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, all in Lohnes~Beazley Funeral Home, 419 Albert St., Windsor, Captain Douglas Knee officiating. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
