Obit: MITCHELL, Hazel Irene

MITCHELL, Hazel Irene - 82, South Middleboro, Cumberland CO., passed away April 23, 2002, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in South Middleboro, she was a daughter of the late Ephriam and Margaret (Woodbury) Ouderkirk. She was a member of St. John's United Church, Wallace and enjoyed her knitting and crafting of quilts. She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are daughter, Pauline (Danny) Ferguson, South Middleboro; son, David, South Middleboro; grandchildren, Christine (Dyno) Plourde, Lower Sackville; Yewan (Winnie), Woodstock, Ont.; Colin and Cheryl, both of Halifax; great-grandchildren, Gavyn and Danielle; sister, Vivian (Elman) Annis, Middleboro; sister-in-law, Mary Ouderkirk, Pugwash; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy; daughters, Irene and Carolyn; sister, Marion; brothers, Lawrence, Walter and Henry. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash, Rev. Heber Colbourne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Riverside Cemetery or a charity of choice.
