Obit: WOOD, Lillian Dorothy

Lillian Dorothy Wood of Teesdale Street, Moncton, formerly of Bonaccord Street, 89, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2002 at The Moncton Hospital. Born November 3, 1912 in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late William R. MacKenzie and Elizabeth (Adams). She was a retired employee of Canada Post and a member of St.John's United Church. She is survived by a daughter, Wenda Duhy (Malcolm) of Moncton; a son, R. Douglas Wood (Paulette) of Moncton; five grandchildren, Angela, James, Aaron, Mathieu and Meagan; two great grandchildren, Ashley and Brooklyn; two sisters-in-law, Faye Taylor and Jean Taylor as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James W. Wood; four sisters, Irene MacKenzie, Pearl Truax, Viola Mattson and Jean Langille; two step brothers, Donald Taylor and Milledge Taylor. By request visiting hours will not be held. The service will be held from St. John's United Church, Alma Street, on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at 11 am with Rev. G. Barrett officiating. Interment will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cadman's Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton (857n 1110).
