GILROY, Agnes P. - 77, 26 Morris St., Springhill, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2002, in Highland
View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Martha
(Gilroy) Gilroy. She was a member of the St. Andrews Wesley United Church, Springhill. She worked at
Canada Car in Amherst for four years and taught school for 32 years, following her mother's death, she
resided with her sister, Eileen and Glen Wood, Springhill. She enjoyed the cottage at Cameron's Beach
where all the family would gather and many games of cards were enjoyed. She is survived by sisters,
Eileen (Glen) Wood, Hazel (Brian) Bickle, all of Springhill; nieces and nephews, Alan (Paulette) Bickle,
Marion (Eric) Devanney, Ron (Wanda) Bickle, Lynn (Curtis) Brown, Ruth (David) Brown; several
great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Dorothy Stevens. Visitation will be
2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m.
Sunday, Rev. Roger Moore officiating assisted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Burial in Leamington
Cemetery, Cumberland County. Donations to The St. Andrews Wesley United Church, Springhill or any
charity would be appreciated.
