Obit: EMBREE, Wesley Borden
EMBREE, Wesley Borden - 87, Malagash, Cumberland Co., passed away Saturday, March 30, 2002, in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Tatamagouche, Colchester Co., he was a son of the late Adolphus and Edith (Hurd) Embree. He was formerly employed with Robb's Engineering Amherst, Department of Fisheries in Oyster Culture, and also worked at Bonnyman and Byers Sawmill in Tatamagouche, where often his only means of transportation was to walk. He also worked for Windsor Rock Salt Company, Pugwash, in the maintenance department and drove RR2 mail in Malagash for 40 years. For six years he delivered the Chronicle Herald in the Malagash, Wallace area. He was a member of St. John's United Church, the Men's Club and the IOOF. He is survived by daughters, Edith (Keith) Selwyn-Smith, Alma; Shelley (David) Pos, Greenhill; granddaughters, Jennifer, Melanie; cousin, Ronald Carter, Maccan; former partner, Frances Jamieson Wallace. He was predeceased by his brother, Merle. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. John's United Church, Wallace, Rev. Heber Colbourne officiating. Burial in Wentworth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's United Church, Wallace, War Amps of Canada Champ Program or any charity.
