Obit: GAMBLE, Jean Peronnette

GAMBLE, Jean Peronnette - 91, Northport, passed away peacefully March 22, 2002, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Winnipeg, Man., she was a daughter of the late John and Alma (Wood) Erickson. she raised her family of four in Amherst, later moved to Springhill then on to Hamilton, Ont., where she worked in retail sales for Mills Brother's in the jewelry and china departments. She retired and joined her family in the Ottawa area, later moving to Northport. She had many hobbies including knitting, reading, watching television and baking. Surviving are daughters, Marion (Henry) Wenting, Whitehorse, Yukon; Helen Gamble, Perth, Ont.; sons, Donald (Betty), Northport; George (Susan), Hubley; brother, Leonard Heroux, Eriksdale, Man.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lee; sister, Marion Long; brother, Lyman Heroux. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be arranged in late April. Donations may be made to Eriksdale Hospital, Manitoba or a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash.
