SMITH, Ira Frederick "Ted" - 80, of East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, Cumberland County and formerly of Truro, died Tuesday, January 30, 2001, in the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Harmony, Colchester County, he was a son of the late Richard and Minnie (Pyke) Smith. He was a service station attendant in Ontario for many years. He was an adherent of the First United Church, Truro. He is survived by his wife, the former Sevilla Ruth Delaney; son, Gregory of Ontario; sister, Helen Cook of Truro. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday and funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, both in the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, with burial at a later date in the Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash or to a charity of your choice.
