Obit: [Oct 1999] BUTLER, Charles Leslie

BUTLER, Charles Leslie - 75, Harbourview Manor, Pugwash, died October 2, 1998, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Leslie and Nellie (Arenburg) Butler. He was a member of Wesley St. Matthew's United Church, Pugwash, and a member of Pugwash Ground Search and Rescue. He had been employed in Wallace Bay as a farm hand for a total of 50 years, retiring to Pugwash in 1987. He enjoyed spending time with his friends in Pugwash Village Park and will be sadly missed by them all. Surviving are sisters, Hilda Reese, Kentville; Pauline (Mrs. Danny Maddox), Mosher River; Alice (Mrs. Fred Frizzell), Windsor, Hants Co.; Helen (Mrs. Alfred Aerssen), L'Arcadie, Que.; Mary, Ontario; brothers, Clifford, Upper Stewiacke; Ernest, Harris, Kingsport; Robert, Rufus, Toronto; Harry, United Kingdom; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Russell. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service 2 p.m. Thursday, October 15, in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash, Rev. Janet Travers officiating. Burial in Wallace Bay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Pugwash Ground Search and Rescue or any charity.
