Re: Little River School/Thomson School

Hi Alton:

Sorry to have taken so long in getting a reply to you. I have some
info.
I was talking to a Marion Thompson. She told me that Leslie M. King's
mother was Nettie Adshade. Nettie was Marion's Great Aunt.
Marion told me that Nettie Adshade was married?? to Jim Mattinson and
they had one child, Leslie M. Mattinson. She divorced?? Jim and then
married a Leslie King.
Marion told me she was talking with Henry Hollis and heard that you and
your brother were there talking to him. She was quite disappointed that
Henry did not put you in touch with her or her sister, Helen or brother
Baird as they are relatives of yours and have all the family history for
you, along with pictures. By the way, in case you have not heard Henry
Hollis passed away last week.
She said it was OK for me to give you her address and phone number so
you may contact her for further info. It is:
Marion Thompson
RR#3
Oxford, B0M 1P0
Phone: 902-447-3129
She also told me Nettie had a brother Alton, who you are likely named
after. Nettie's father & mother were Joe & Elizabeth Adshade and she has
all the info on all their children, if you want it.
Hope this is info you are looking for.
Cheers
Dyan
