Thomson Station, NS

Hi Dyan:

In your Thomson School records, would you please look up the name CANNING? I am trying to determine when my great-grandfather moved his family to MA. His younger children were in Thomson Station where he was a sectionman up until maybe 1905 (???). By nailing down the last school year for his younger daughters (Greta, Gertrude and Jean), maybe I can tell when they left for Braintree, MA.

Thanks,
Eric Keys

Hi Dorothy:
When you say Thompson do you mean Thomson, which is just outside of
Oxford. If so, I have in my possession at the moment most of the school
records for Thomson School from 1877 to when it closed in 1966. Most of
the student names are not until 1926, but I have the registrars and
journals, which list some of the family members going back to 1877,
which may help. Please let me know if you would like to have me look
the name up and provide me with some more details please.
Cheers
Dyan
