COMEAU, Stella Mary - 95, 152 Willow St., Amherst, died September 2, 2000, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Joggins, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Bertha (Terrio) Comeau. She was a member of Saint Charles
Roman Catholic Church in Amherst. She worked as both housekeeper and receptionist for Dr. D.M. Cochrane of River Hebert for over 30 years. She loved to knit, which she did for 91 years having learned from her father at age 4. She enjoyed playing cards and was active for many years in an Amherst card club. Surviving are sister, Augusta Miller; brother, Austin Burke, Amherst; a niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Charles Burke; sister, Dorothy Burke; brothers, Aubrey; infant Joseph. Funeral mass was held Monday in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Vernon Driscoll officiating. Burial followed in the Ragged Reef Cemetery. Donations to the
Ragged Reef Cemetery through Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst.
