ROWE, D. Edward - 91, Gables Lodge, Amherst,
formerly of East Leicester, passed away September 7,
1999, at the lodge. Born in New Castle, N.B., he was a
son of the late John and Florence (Sinclair) Rowe.
He had worked as a woodsman throughout the area for
most of his life and had served overseas during the
Second World War. Surviving are his son, Brian Spicer,
West Leicester; sister, Dorothy Sousice, Athol, Mass.;
brothers, Lloyd, Orange, Mass.; George, Athol, Mass.;
two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his wife, the former Mabel Jean Amos;
son, Arden; a brother.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation
by request. Donations may be made at Furlong's
Funeral Home, Amherst to any charity.
