Hello Annette;
Thanks for answering my query. I'm tracing
my roots back on my
mothers' side who was a White. I've quite a
bit of info that I'm trying
to confirm. The info I have on Damas is that
he is s/o Mathurin (Daniel,
Andre, Claude-Andre, Joseph, Francois,
Mathurin) . He married Pelaqie
Leger b. Feb 2, 1817 on Feb 5, 1838. She was
the widow of Hilarion Burk
and had a son Simon Burk b. 1835 .
I have 12 children but, I think some must be
from his first marriage
which I have no info on.
Here are the children I have :
1. Mathurin b. Dec 2, 1830 (my
GGGrandfather I think)
+ Louise Leblanc b. Dec 9, 1839
2. Simon Burk b. 1835
3. Elizabeth b. Feb 27, 1841
4. Domatille (dit Matilda?) b. 1842
5. Suzanne b. Apr 25, 1846
6. Peagie (sp?) b. Mar 12, 1848
7. Olivier b. Aug 7, 1850
8. Modeste b. Aug 23, 1852
9. Margaret b. 1855
10. Jane b. 1857
11. Antoinette b. 1859
12. Henriette b. 1861
13. Sarah-Isaabelle
Mathurin s/o Damas m. Louise Leblanc b.
Dec 9, 1839. Their children
were:
1. Felician b. dec 5, 1866, d. 1944
+ Mary Comeau b. 1872, d. 1958
2. Alfred b. Dec 1, 1871
3. Damien b. 1877
4. Elizabeth b. 1874
5. Lavinia b. 1865
6. Mary b. 1879
7. Zeos (sp?) b. 1873
Any help would certainly be appreciated.
As well, any info you could
give on the location or data, records etc.
would be helpful. Thanks
again for your help.
