Hi,
Actually I recognize quite of few of these names: Robert and Mary (Gow)
Rector (1) would be my 3rd greatgrandparents. Christiana MacAloney was
Robert's sister, & Harriet Rector was Robert and Mary's daughter.
Robert and Mary also had a grandson Robert whose wife's name was also
Mary (Layton). I would be most interested to know what year this list
is from.

> All these people are listed as members in a Methodist class in Woodstock on the Parrsboro-Maccan Circuit. No one I've asked has been able to tell me where or what Woodstock was. It has to be near Parrsboro and Maccan--not in NB, Yarmouth or Lunenburg. Can anyone help identify the place?
I wonder if the place could be West Brook. Woodstock is certainly a new
one for me, too. If the original handwriting wasn't clear, and West
Brook was written as one word, it might be possible that it was
interpreted as "Woodstock". I haven't any concrete proof of that, but
it's food for thought.
