RHEAUME, Maurice Oscar - 77, 467 Valleydale Rd., Truro, passed away suddenly on July 21, 2005, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Ottawa, he was a son of the late Albert and Philomene (Flechette) Rheaume. He served overseas during the Second World War as a pilot. He was a member of 102 Wing, Royal Canadian Air Force Association. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Parsons); son, Robert (Francine) Rheaume, Gatineau, Que.; daughters, Paulette Rheaume (James), Denise (Regent) Carriere, both of Orleans, Ont.; Julie Rheaume (Richard), Gatineau, Que.; sister, Dolsie Jolicoeur, Ottawa, Ont.; brother, Harvey, Montreal; eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Guy. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. with a Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Tribute Service at 7 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. At Maurice's request, there will be no funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lung Association of Nova Scotia. Obituary for Gerold Wilbert Parsons
Parsons, Gerold Wilbert (59) - It is with great sadness we announce the
passing of Gerold Parsons, who passed away suddenly at Colchester Regional
Hospital, on November 14, 2006. Gerold resided in Truro for his entire life
and was a long time employee for the Town of Truro, working for the Parks
and Recreation Department. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Mae (McKiel),
brother Boyd (Shirley) and sisters Barbara (Rheaume) and Debra (Kaulback);
children Clayton, Truro, Bonnie (Andre) Alber, Ottawa, Sherry (Michael)
Burke, Truro, and Jason, Truro; 9 grandchildren, Jordon, Benjamin, Mathew,
Samantha, Tyler, Zackery, Mason, Abigail and Kaylie. He was predeceased by
his parents, Harris and Ruby (McWirter) and older brother Keith. No
visitation by request. A memorial service will be held Saturday November
18th at 11:00 a.m. at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St.,
Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may
be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association
of Nova Scotia.
