Hi all. I just found a will for Thomas Allen of Newport proved 9 Jun 1816 online document 140A.

If I'm reading this correctly, Thomas had wife Desiree, sons Thomas, James, and Christopher, and daughters Lydia, Margaret, Mary, Elizabeth, and Anne.
There are also wills for a Thomas Allen 643A proved 15 Apr 1858 and a James Allen 1147A 22 Aug 1876. I haven't found those yet but will post later in the day or tomorrow. Unfortunately those are the only Allens listed in the Index to Estates for the early time period.
Also, I apologize for posting Allen information in wrong spot before. It's hard to work on this group from an iPad...really easy to reply to the wrong conversation.
