CARDE, James Oliver David - 67, 1482 Wyvern Rd. Collingwood, Cumberland Co., died November 27, 1996, in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Frederick Patrick and Mildred (Chapman) Carde. He was a member of the Anglican Church of Canada. Most of his working years were spent as a teamster on the docks in Ontario. Surviving are his wife, the former Adelaide Juanita Langille; sons, James, David, Toronto, Ont.; daughter, Mrs. Catherine Colwill, Toronto; stepsons, Gary, Frederick, Collingwood; Douglas, Toronto; sisters, Mrs. Agnes Gilroy, Georgina (Mrs. Elmer Fitzgerald), Springhill; Marjorie (Mrs. Abram Grant), Springhill Junction; Mrs. Sharon Stonehouse, Westchester; Mrs. Jean Thomas, Toronto; brothers, Frederick, Springhill; Earl, Ontario; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Alice, Doris; brother, Lyman. Visitation 3-5, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, both in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, Rev. Glenn Eason officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
