Obituary
JULY 29, 1939 - JANUARY 6, 2012 Mrs. Charlotte Jarvis, aged 72 years, of
Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at Pioneer Ridge on January 2, 2012. She
was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia and settled in Thunder Bay in 1963.
Charlotte was a WAC (Womens Air Core) in the military and then became a
mother and commercial book keeper. She was very active with the Ortona Royal
Canadian Legion and volunteered at countless places in Thunder Bay.
Charlotte received the Outstanding Citizen award for her contributions to
the City of Thunder Bay. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, doing stain glass,
quilting, knitting, music, taking long walks, and spending time with Ashley.
She is survived by sons; Michael and David (Janette), stepchildren Ken Jr.,
(Betty Ann) and Brenda, grandchildren; Jason (Melissa), Jaryd (Tara), Philip
(Jody), Dawn, Sandi and Marisa and great grandchildren; Ashley, Zack, Jase,
Abigail, Ella, Ethan, Darcy and Jesse. Charlotte is also survived by her
brothers; David and Ed and their families, brother-in-law Jerry and
sisters-in-law Lorraine, Jewel and Ann, Bernice and Dennis Woods and their
children Perry, Darrell and Kristy and is further survived by many other
much loved family and friends. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Ken,
stepdaughter Kendal, brother John, parents Margaret and Sam Kent,
brothers-in-law Ken, Bob and James and sisters-in-law Helen and Noreen. As
per Charlotte's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held at
3:00 P.M on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens (Oliver
Road) with Rev. Ken Moffat officiating. Friends and family are welcome to
attend. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be
appreciated. "
