WILLIAM I. SABIN Williamstown attorney WILLIAMSTOWN - Attorney WIllaim I.
Sabin, of 600 Bald Eagle Drive, Naples, Fla, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, at
Avow Hospice after a long illness. Born in Worcester he was the son of
Abraham Sabin and Bertha Goldberg Sabin. At an early age he and his family
moved to North Adams. He is a 1943 graduate of Drury High School, and a 1952
graduate of Boston University School of Law. Later attended New York
University School of Law where he received a master's degree in taxation.
Mr. Sabin was a veteran of World War II and served in the Coast Guard. He
established a law practice in Williamstown and operated the Roberts-Sabin
Insurance and Real Estate Agency for many years. He retired in 1995 and
moved to Fla. in 2002. Mr. Sabin was a member of Congregation Beth Israel He
was a former chairman of the Williamstown Democratic Committee, the
Williamstown Finance Committee, and the Berkshire Bar Association. Mr. Sabin
was an avid skier, golfer and tennis player and a current member of the
Naples Tennis Club. He leaves his wife, the former Charlotte Fulton, whom he
married on Nov. 9, 1979 in Williamstown. He also leaves a daughter, Bedana
Crunkleton, of Weston; a son, Jonathan "Jay" Sabin, of Williamstown; four
grandchildren, Adam Crunkleton, Rachel Crunkleton, Emily, Sabin, and Cameron
Sabin; a brother, Elias Sabin, of Cape Coral, Fla. He was predeceased by a
sister, Goldie Sabin. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral will be at Congregation Beth
Israel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Beth Israel Cemetery in
Clarksburg. Donations made be made to the Avow Hospice of Naples or the
Amyloid Clinic at Boston Medical Center through the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Hazel Maude Fulton, 95, of Naperville, Ill., formerly of 20
Meacham St., died yesterday morning at Manor Care Center in Naperville.
Born in Advocate, Nova Scotia, on July 12, 1906, daughter of George and
Maude McCabe Ferrand, she graduated from Amherst High School in Nova Scotia
in 1921. She also graduated from a one-year business school in Amherst and
transferred to the Nova Scotia Normal School, where she obtained a teaching
degree.
She taught first grade in Amherst and then seventh and eighth grade students
in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
In 1937, she moved with her husband, a professor of mathematics, to Chicago,
then to Ada, Ohio; Durham, N.H., and Medford, where they lived for 27 years.
In 1980, they relocated to Williamstown to be near family. They moved to
Naperville in 1994.
While a resident of Williamstown, Mrs. Fulton was a member of First
Congregational Church and the Williamstown Friendship Club.
Her husband, Dawson Gerard Fulton, whom she married Sept. 6, 1937, died Feb.
2, 1997.
She leaves a daughter, Charlotte Sabin of Williamstown and Naples, Fla.; a
son, Thomas Ferrand Fulton of Naperville; two grandchildren and two
stepgrandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- There will be no funeral services or calling hours for
Hazel Maude Ferrand Fulton. Burial will take place in the family plot in
Bass River, Nova Scotia, Canada. Memorial donations are suggested for the
Alzheimer's Association or to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire
through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West
Main St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
