Re: William Henry Hoeg

Thanks Steve.

Another good tip to work with.

I missed the 1870 marriage which may possibly didn’t last all that long.

Hannah is still a Hoeg & widowed for the 1871 Censuses about 6-7 months after the marriage and William Henry’s birth was registered as illegitimate & Hoeg.

Hi Dave

I noticed there were no replies to your query. I had tried to trace him with no luck. I believe you are correct when you suggest he may have been adopted.

It appears that Hannah (Mills) Hoeg remarried in 1870 to widower George McLellan. William Henry Hoeg's was born in 1871. Could he be a McLellan by birth?

Has anyone on the list ever located Cecelia B. (Hoeg) Sprague and Jonathan
Wilbert Hoeg's half-brother, William Henry Hoeg?

Widow, Hannah (Mills) Hoeg died 30 Mar 1875 of Consumption at Goose River.

In 1881, orphaned Jonathan Wilbert Hoeg is with Jeremiah and Hannah Henwood.

Was orphaned William Henry Hoeg adopted/fostered out as well after 1875?
 With a name change?

 Thanks.
