OBITUARY: William B. Dodsworth
Wittenburg - William Buckley Dodsworth, 92, of Wittenburg, Colchester
County, died Sunday in Colchester Hospital, Truro.
Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Joseph and Carah (Carey)
Dodsworth.
He served overseas with the 85th Battalion during the First World War and
served as deacon for several years in the Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Layton, Ralph, both of Wittenburg; William Burpee,
Great Village; Guy, Bedford; Stewart, Winnipeg; 24 grandchildren and 40
great-grandchildren.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gertrude Chapel, and a daughter,
Bernadette.
The body is at Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, where funeral service
will be Tuesday at 2 p.m., Rev. D. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in
Great Village cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund of the
Wittenburg Baptist Church.
