Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Carson Eugene Collins age 65 of
Maccan, NS announce his passing on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.

Born in Amherst, he was a son of Coryne (Marge) O¹Brien of Amherst and was
raised by wonderful grandparents Henry (Bert) and Violet (Shea) Collins.

Carson worked for 30 years with the Department of Transportation in Amherst.
He was an avid baseball player for the Maccan Royals and later as Coach.
Carson played in several local bands and enjoyed his winters in Florida for
the past 10 years.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Cathy (Hoeg) and one Son C. Darren
(Jackie Strong) of Maccan and his grandson Tanner.

There will be a celebration of Carson¹s life on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from
2 ­ 4 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, River Hebert.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of CRHCC especially Dr. Short
and Amy Thurston of the Palliative Care Team.

Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit or
the Cumberland Hospice Society.
