Ronald "Wayne" BOYD

Boyd, Ronald “Wayne” – age 73, Debert, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, August 13, 2014 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born September 17, 1940 in Glenholme, he was the son of the late Ronald and Florence (Urquhart) Boyd. Wayne worked for C.L. Stonehouse in the sawmill and blueberry business. Also he had done some short order cooking and finally went into taxidermy business for over 30 years (Hilltop Taxidermy). Wayne loved fishing, hunting and trapping. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sylvia (Colpitts); sons, Danny (Darlene), David ((Cheryl), Nick (Bonnie), Stephen (Ilene) and Stacy; daughters, Lisa (David), Carrie (Tom) and Melanie; brother, Allison (Karen); sisters, Marlene and Myra (Kenny); 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. No funeral service by request. A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Sunday, August 17th from 6:30-8:30 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with a gathering at our home in Glenholme to follow. Family flowers only, please. Donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada, the N. S. Federation of Anglers and Hunters or Ducks Unlimited. Boyd, Daniel Aubrey "Danny", 59, of Truro, passed away peacefully, Sunday,
March 26, 2017, at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in
Truro, he was a son of Sylvia (Colpitts) Boyd, of Glenholme, and the late
Wayne Boyd. Danny was a concrete worker most of his life. He had the
greatest love for all his grandchildren. He loved being in the woods,
hunting, fishing, and everything related to the outdoors. Besides his mother
he is survived by his wife, the former Darlene (Kent) Boyd; daughter, Katie
Boyd (Matt Upham), North River; sons, John (Alycia) Boyd, Riversdale, Chris
(Lisa) Boyd, Onslow Mountain; sisters, Lisa, Melanie, Carrie; brothers,
David, Steven, Stacey, Nicky; 10 grandchildren; Arrangements have been
entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro,
from where a celebration of Danny’s life will be held from 1:30pm to 3:30pm,
Sunday, April 2, 2017. No flowers by request. Donations in Danny’s memory
