OBITUARY:
Dodsworth, Layton Edward - 76, Wittenburg, Colchester County, died Saturday
in the Nova Scotia Hospital, Dartmouth. Born in Amherst, he was as son of
the late William and Gertrude (Chappell) Dodsworth. He owned and operated
Wittenburg Greenhouses and was a blueberry grower for many years. He was a
member of Wittenburg Baptist Church. He is survived by four daughters, Pearl
(Mrs. Bill Chambers), Lawrencetown, Annapolis County; Phyllis (Mrs. Robert
Burnett), Red Deer, Alta.; Betty Marie Minor, Wittenburg; Margaret, Halifax;
two sons, Arthur, Truro; Mark, Wittenburg; two brothers, Ralph, Wittenburg;
Stuart, Winkler, Man.; 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the
former Bessie Evelyn Pulsifier; a sister, Berna; two brothers, Guy, William.
The body is in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie, visiting 7-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wittenburg Baptist Church, Rev. Brian
Wheaton officiating. Burial will be in Wittenburg Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
