Mable Chandler
CHANDLER, MABLE - The death of Mable Jean Chandler, loving wife of the late
Herbert Chandler, occurred on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Rocmaura
Nursing Home. Born 1922 in Moose Jaw, S.K., she was the daughter of the late
Reginald and Effie (Dell) Nesbitt. Mable was a lifelong volunteer for many
organizations including the Salvation Army, 50 Plus Club, Chicken Noodle
Club, Stone Church Noon Hour Club and Christmas Kettle Club. She was
extremely honoured to receive the South End Volunteer of the Year Award for
2010-2011. She is survived by her children, Iris Meehan, Malcolm Chandler,
Beverly Chandler-Roy, Michael Chandler and Ian Chandler; nine grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren; special friends Al Kindred and Donnie Snook.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland
Road (646-2424). A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home
Chapel on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers,
donations in her memory may be made to Bobby¹s Hope House or the charity of

CHANDLER, Herbert Charles - 63, Tantallon, died November 1, 1993, at home.
Born in Tantallon, he was a son of the late Ira and Jane (Boutilier)
Chandler. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the local area for many
years. He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Nesbitt; three sons,
Malcolm (Max), Sackville; Michael, Waterville; Ian, Victoria, B.C.; two
daughters, Iris Meehan, Saint John, N.B.; Beverly, Halifax; two brothers,
Clyde, Brantford, Ont.; Edgel, Tantallon; five sisters, Uzena (Mrs. Gerald
Ashe), Upper Tantallon; Beatrice (Mrs. William Huether), Morriston, Ont.;
Marion (Mrs. Harry Coolen), Hubbards; Meta (Mrs. Fernand Frenette), Porters
Lake; Alma (Mrs. James DesBarres), Gays River; seven grandchildren. He was
predeceased by a daughter, Brenda; brother, Wesley; two sisters, Muriel,
Anna. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral
Home, Hubbards, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. P. Tidd
officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to any charity.
